I was listening to a speaker and he said something I would never forget. He says, “I am not afraid to be successful. To be successful is what I have tried to achieve through out my lifetime. But now that I know God, what I am afraid of is to be successful in the wrong things.” So insightful and true.
My friend, a banker, had decided to get a dog for protection. As she inspected a likely candidate, the trainer told her, “He doesn’t like men.” Oh, perfect, my friend thought, and took the dog.
Then one day she was approached by two men in a parking lot, and she watched to see how her canine bodyguard would react. Soon it became clear that the trainer wasn’t kidding. As the men got closer, the dog ran under the nearest car.
Have no fear. And the only way to get rid of the fear of doing something is to go out… and do it.
