Had a Bad Day?

So you have had a bad day. I have. All of us do from time to time. Someone said this and has served as a good reminder for me. Perhaps this can help you too: Having a bad day doesn’t mean you have had a bad life.

So let’s get over it and move on. Tomorrow will be better.

Put your hand on your heart. Feel that? That’s called purpose. Don’t give up!

We cannot get everyone to agree with us. That is a fact. Some would not even like us. There will be haters. There will be criticism. There will be those who love to bad mouth. And there will be those who will doubt you.

Just stick to the truth and focus on doing what is right. Truth will one day prove them wrong. Don’t play their game.

Here is the key: If you can’t beat them NEVER join them. Not worth it at all.

Sometimes we have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of our life.

Just A Memory

People today may no longer remember the celebrities of yesteryears. This is a lesson we all must learn. One day, no matter how much we have achieved, no matter how many followers we have in our social media account, you and I will just be a memory.

And even that will fade so there is absolutely no reason we need to be proud and arrogant. Just do our job well, be honest, be kind and live life to the full in God’s presence.

Remember the time when you’re hanging out with friends and family? Then you start recalling memories, blasts from the past where some incredible stuff happened? Some were good, some really funny? They were unique and special. Spend these days creating moments and cultivating memories that will be remembered.

Watching TV is a fake experience, video games are fake accomplishments, dating apps are fake intimacies. Create real experiences and beautiful moments with the people who matter to you.

Happy halloween!

Never Fails

Here’s a nice quote that I would like to share with you: LIFE is BEAUTIFUL. Don’t spoil your day by looking at the negative things of life. Instead look at GOD’s creations around us. New day after a long night. Rainbow after the rain. Solution to a problem. Help in times of need. These things bring us new hope. GOD’s love never fails.

We have strength when we know our weaknesses. We are beautiful when we know our flaws. We have wisdom when we learn from our mistakes. You and I are works in progress.

And this is why there is something wrong with anyone who insists that he or she is right every time. Live life with humility knowing that God’s Grace is there for those who are willing to accept it. Life is never about success; it is always about progress.

Needs and Wants

There is a difference between NEEDS and WANTS. My kids WANT me, and not just to provide for their NEEDS. You may have someone who NEEDS you and really WANTS you not only for what you can provide but because you are wanted for who and what you are. These kinds of WANTS are not bad.

There have been times when I had to walk away or even forced from what I WANTED only to end in a place where I get what I NEEDED. Things always turn out best for those who will make the best of the way things turn out.

As the good book would say, “and we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

Make Things Right

Some people are not really angry, they are really hurt. Determine the difference and know the reason why. And if we happen to be the reason, would be good for us to clarify and make things right?

Saying sorry is a good start. Many people know how to say it. And it’s not hard really. But here is the deal, the word sorry when said means very little, it is what is done after that truly counts.

True apologies always accompany the obligation to make things right and to return things taken. When these are not there then the sorry does not mean a single thing.

We have to make the hard but right decisions. Do what is right. The end result of this is peace of mind and preservation of dignity. These things really matter.

Love God More

The right idea for life and living is not to love things less but to love God more. Self deprivation is not a virtue but self gratification is. And the more our love for God increases the more it loosens our love and hold for money and things. The year is almost over, it’s a good time for us to assess what or who we love more.

The older I get the more I realise how true this is: That I can never boast about my love for God because I fail Him on a regular basis. But I can brag about His love for me because He Never Fails! This realization is also one of the most liberating experience one can ever have in HIM; that we do not and cannot “earn” His Love. But that He loves us because He is love. And that we respond by knowing Him and doing what He says.

Measuring life by what others do to us may disappoint us. But measuring life by what we do to others will add more meaning to our life. The key here is to cultivate gratitude and make it a life mission to help others. This is what brings joy to life and living.

Time – Use Wisely but Take it Easy

Some talk to you in their free time and some free their time to talk to you. Good leaders are never too busy to listen to their people and to give them time. So do real friends are.

Use time wisely. You and I have limited resources. We need to be wise in its usage. So here is an idea: Never give someone the opportunity to waste your time and energy… twice. Once is a mistake, but twice? Ugh… terrible!

Take it easy. Times are hard. Life is not easy. Emotions will be stirred. Do not do something that is permanently damaging as an immediate reaction to a very temporary state of anger and being upset. Not a good thing. Do not react. Respond after giving it a good amount of thinking.

Human Instinct

Do not lie to someone who trusts you. And never trust someone who lies to you. No matter how charming the person is. This is Common sense 101.

Many deceitful people are charming and that is why they get away with their deceit. Others who are perceived as rude and arrogant may not really be, perhaps they are just being straight forward and honest. Discern which is which.

There will always be a reason why we meet people. Either we need them to change our life or we will be the one to change theirs. This is definitely part of the purpose for our being. And this is why it is important to be honest and kind.
